This was one of my favorite Disney movies when I was younger. I live by the quote and my best friend just passed away and this was also his favorite movie. This ones for him.

i’m brushin’ up on lookin’ down, i’m working on my roar!
My tattoo of Rafiki’s Simba drawing from The Lion King! It means the absolute world to me. I got him over three years ago, and have had a hard time getting another tattoo because I don’t think anything could mean as much as this did, ha!
Any and everything Disney will always be a large part of my heart and soul. There’s just something about Disney that’s always been magical. And The Lion King is the epitome of the best of Disney. The best story, characters, songs, everythig!
I watched it so many times when I was a kid that I went through three tapes. When the 3D remake and DVD release came out, I bawled my face off (even though I was 20 years old!).
I picked this drawing first off, because I thought it would make a bad ass tattoo. Also, Simba stands for a lot of things. He’s strong and courageous. He shows that it’s possible to move on from bad things that happen in your life, but also the importance of family and your responsibilities.
Also, some people might not know about or remember but there was a Lion King SNES game that was the hardest game I ever played in my life. Me and my mom used to play it for hours and we never even finished the second level because of the stupid ostriches. It didn’t help that the stupid game didn’t even save! Anyways, the Simba logo was the checkpoint in the game.
When I first got the tattoo in 2009, I searched online for anyone else who had it - and I didn’t find anything. Since then I’ve seen at least four very similar tattoos. But, as far as I know, I was one of the first ones. ;)

I got this done a little over two weeks ago. It’s really special to me because it’s a memorial tattoo for my friend—his nickname was Simba. That and the Lion King is awesome!
